I've done it! With much thanks to the forum, I should be receiving a new BX next week. Of course, this is triggering lots of new questions. Does anyone manufacture "teeth" for the FEL? Also, is it possible to put a larger bucket on the backhoe? I have some fairly soft soil to dig and was wondering if the backhoe could accept another bucket? I'm assuming no but I don't know? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

The buckets come in two sizes: 10" and 12".

If the dealer can't help with the tooth bar I can give you some web links. ....

The dealer said he can get one for the BX but it costs $400.00. This seems a bit high (or is it)? When I searched some of the sponsors, the tooth bars looked like they were for larger buckets. The dealer is friendly but seems geared towards the landscaping side of the business. When I asked about other bucket, he said some after-market ones may be available but he wasn't sure. The one I'm getting has a 12" but I was curious if anything larger can fit. Please send web links if you don't mind. Thanks. ....

$400 is the about right price. You can get a tooth bar a little cheaper but then the Brown Truck gets his piece of the pie.

I am aware of no source of aftermarket buckets for the BX. I think you will find the 12 inch is a nice balance between power and speed. ....

You do need a brush hog for your new toy. I got a near mint 42" landpride that will fit right on it. It came off a Bx2200. I am also in maryland. See classifieds for more info. thanks. ....

You might check the dimensions of the Jonny bucket tooth array; its made for the Jonny Bucket but may fit the BX FEL. Its only $150 + shipping.
